InterActive announces the 2016 recipient of the Eco-Entrepreneur MBA Scholarship Award
We are pleased to announce the recipient of this year’s Eco-entrepreneur award, Leena Sindano, from Namibia. Leena will study a fully-funded Global MBA, offered in cooperation with London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) and the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO. In her own words, Leena tells us what this scholarship means to her:
I looked up to my family all the time and told myself that one day I would become a business woman. However, I faced many difficulties at first, and it wasn’t easy to draw up a business plan. I did not know where to start since I’ve never studied any business subjects before. It took me years to finally find the perfect business to invest in. At the beginning of this year, I attended a youth programme called Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) in South Africa. I attended a business class and we had to come up with a business idea, and it was this moment that motivated me to start turning my idea into a reality. I started making a few organic, eco-friendly products from the moringa tree, which grows in my town. I am now currently selling these products, which can be safely consumed by humans and animals. I am very honoured to receive this scholarship because I know it will help me grow as an entrepreneur and expand my marketing and business knowledge. I will use this opportunity to improve my existing skills as well as gain new expertise that I am now lacking at this stage.
