Online study

Are your programmes 100% online?

Yes, every programme offered by InterActive takes place 100% online.

I heard that online programmes are easier than campus courses. Is that true?

No. Because of the high levels of self-discipline time management needed to successfully complete your programme, online courses require just as much commitment as traditional campus qualifications.

Will I have 24/7 access to the study platform?

Yes, each student receives 24/7 access to the platform, as well as technical and administrative support through our ticketing system.

Do I need any special software to study online?

No, you simply need an internet connection, browser, and a device that supports internet access.

Can I study from my smartphone?

Yes, you can access the materials on any smart device using a flash enabled browser.

The online platform

How does the online platform work?

We provide you with access to a wide range of study materials to ensure that you enjoy a truly interactive and comprehensive learning experience. The platform includes: Live or recorded HD video lectures, e-books, content revision apps, research resources, discussion forums and much more.

Will I have access to an online library or research database?

Yes, InterActive has just launched a new online library for all IA students studying across all programmes. The library contains a vast array of digital collections of journals, articles, textbooks, newspapers, and other scholarly resources.

How do I interact with my classmates and tutors?

There is a forum on the study platform where you can interact with other students, tutors and teaching assistants asynchronously. There is also an option to directly message other students on your course through the platform.

What happens if I can’t access the platform?

What support do you offer?

Our Student Support Team are available to provide assistance with all aspects of online study. Depending on your course, you will be assigned a module tutor on each of the modules or units you study, who is there to guide you through the learning process.

How quickly will my support query be resolved?

Our Student Support Team work hard to ensure that all student queries are responded to within 72 hours.

How much are your course fees?

Is there an application fee?

No, the application process is completely free of charge.

What do the course fees include?

Your course fees include all the materials you need to successfully complete your programme. Please contact our student recruitment team for more information.

Can I pay in instalments?

We provide flexible payment options and instalment plans for the majority of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Please submit an enquiry to our student recruitment team to request specific information about your programme of interest.

Do you run any promotional offers?

Do you provide funding opportunities or scholarships?

Yes, as well as a number of scholarship opportunities, we can also give you advice about various ways to finance your online programme.

Enrolment

How do I enrol?

Enrolling on your programme is straightforward and can be done entirely online. If you are interested in studying with InterActive, please contact our student recruitment team who will be happy to discuss your educational needs and recommend the most suitable online programme.

What documents do I need to provide?

For undergraduate and postgraduate programmes you usually need to provide authentic copies of your previous qualifications, certificates, and academic transcripts for all years of study. You will also need to provide a copy of your passport, an English copy of your CV, two reference letters, and proof of your English proficiency.

Who should I ask to provide my references/recommendations?

Recommendations should be from either an academic or professional source. The references also need to be from a direct superior e.g., a previous tutor or your current line manager.

Exemptions

Can I get exemptions from some parts of my programme?

Yes, we can inform you about possible exemptions once we look through all of your relevant academic documents and your case has been reviewed by the Academic Board.

General course information

How will I know if my programme is recognised in my home country?

In order to confirm your eligibility for your course, we confirm that your national education authority accepts the qualification you wish to study.

Will the term ‘online study’ appear on my certificate?

No, your certificate is issued directly from the programme's awarding body and will not include the term online study.

How flexible are your programme schedules?

Our online programmes are designed in a way that lets you fit your studies around your commitments. We also offer voluntary module deadlines designed to help students plan their study time in advance. In some cases it may also be possible to defer certain modules.

What time commitment is required?

This will depend on your course or programme of study. For instance, on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, we normally advise that students should spend around 15 hours per week studying. However, every learner is different, therefore it is best practice to follow your programme recommendations and plan your timetable carefully.

Can I start the course whenever I want?

You can start studying professional qualifications within 24 hours of your payment being successfully processed. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses are subject to specific intake dates throughout the year. 

How long will it take to finish my programme?

Programmes offered by InterActive vary in length. Please check our course listings or contact our student recruitment team to find out more.

How can I stay connected to InterActive after I graduate?

You have the opportunity to attend the bi-annual InterActive Graduation Ceremony, which is a good opportunity to meet our faculty members and your fellow students. Also, once you graduate, you will automatically become a member of the InterActive Alumni Association.

What happens if I fail an assessment?

Depending on the programme, students are usually required to retake the assignment or module they have failed in order to successfully complete their course. If there are any special circumstances that impact your performance as a student, we encourage you to let us know at the earliest opportunity so that we can advise you on the best course of action.
