The CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) is an internationally recognised qualification which sets the global standard for professionalism and excellence in today’s finance and investment sectors.
Studying towards CFA® is an extremely rigorous test of your knowledge and time management skills. To help you achieve success, London School of Business and Finance and InterActive offer an online CFA® course using dynamic study-tools, such as HD-quality live video lectures, to provide you with the full on-campus experience but with 100% online flexibility. These award-winning resources are backed up by personalised tutor support and the opportunity to network with a global body of over 12,000 fellow students and industry professionals.
Who is this programme for?
The CFA® online programme focuses on fundamental investment knowledge and practical skills which are applicable across a variety of careers. If you are already active in the investment industry and want to specialise, refocus your career path, or gain prestige with your employer, then the CFA® programme is perfect for you. It complements your existing experience with up-to-date knowledge and a broad range of skills to help advance your career prospects.
Leading employers the world over use the CFA® charter to seek out and differentiate the most qualified job applicants and future employees, as they understand this qualification is a marker of commitment to hard work, dedication, and a determination to excel in this most challenging of sectors. The CFA® designation opens doors into the heart of international business.
The CFA® qualification is recognised in the UK as equivalent to a master’s-level degree, and today more than 100,000 people worldwide are CFA® members. In August 2010, Financial Times Magazine declared:“Among the countless finance degrees around the world, the Chartered Financial Analyst qualification has become the gold standard.”
In order to receive CFA® qualification you must successfully complete three levels – Level I, Level II and Level III sequentially. You will take exams for each at CFA® test centres. Exams for Level I are held in June or December, while those for Levels II and III are held only in June.
You may register for only one exam at a time and must wait to receive the results of each one before registering for another. Please check that you meet all requirements before you enrol on the CFA® program and register for your first exam.
You must apply to study CFA® programme with InterActive 3-9 months before you are due to sit your exams (at the latest). To apply, simply choose a CFA® package of the required level from the Enrolment centre and then complete the purchase process.
You will receive an email containing your InterActive login details 24 hours after payment. You will then be able to study towards your paper according to the content of the package you have purchased. At the start of your CFA® preparation course you will be given access to all learning resources included in your package, such as live or recorded HD quality video lectures, lecture notes, mock exams, question bank, progress tests, and more. The recommended study time for each exam is at least 3 months.
The final stage of the process is to take your exams. If you pass you will continue to the next level. However, if you fail you are encouraged to re-take the exam. If you fail and are eligible for the Pass First Time Guarantee, you will be given access to study materials for the level you failed, and you will have the opportunity to resit it the exam once you have re-registered.
